Newquay Vibes & New Tech: My Day at the Host Planet Roadshow

Today was one for the books! 🌊 I’ve just wrapped up a fantastic day at the Host Planet Roadshow in Cornwall, held at the beautiful Oceanside Hotel.

As the founder of a startup, it’s easy to get buried in the "digital" side of things—APIs, syncs, and AI models. But being in a room full of real people who are as passionate about the Short-Term Rental (STR) industry as I am? That’s where the magic happens.

Connection Over Competition

One of the absolute highlights of my day was the time spent with the Women in Short Term Rentals community. We had some truly great chats about the unique challenges and wins we face as female leaders in this space. There is so much talent in this group, and I’m already looking forward to some exciting future collaborations! 🤝

I’m genuinely grateful to have been in the room with industry legends from the STAA and PriceLabs. It’s one thing to see a logo online; it’s another to sit across from the people behind the platforms and talk about where this industry is heading in 2026.

A Big Month for 360gurus.io (and a Hostaway Tease!)

While I was there as an attendee, I couldn't help but get excited talking about what we’re launching later this month at 360gurus.io.

We’ve been working hard on our Hostaway integration, and it was great to catch up with the Hostaway team in person to discuss how this will change the game for hosts.

The "Round-Trip" Magic

We are bridging the gap between property management and immersive marketing. Here’s the workflow we’re launching:

1. Direct Sync: Hostaway users can pull their property data straight into 360gurus.io.

2. AI-Powered Capture: We’ve partnered with Ricoh Theta EMEA, using their top-of-the-line AI cameras to create stunning, high-res 360° views.

3. The Feedback Loop: Those tours get pushed directly back onto your Hostaway listings.

   Why I’m So Passionate About This

I didn't start 360gurus.io just to build "cool tech." I built it because I saw how much weight is on a host's shoulders. By using Ricoh Theta's AI hardware, we aren't just taking photos; we are answering those critical accessibility questions and building the "visual trust" that converts a browser into a guest.
